Being able to relate to a student who does not understand the material is something that hits very close to me. Throughout high school I struggled in math mainly because I never mastered the foundation skills taught in earlier grades. It wasn't until college that I received tutoring in math, chemistry, and physics, and I was able to finally understand all that math and science had to offer. Unlike many tutors, I understand how it feels to be totally lost, and the eureka moment that occurs when you truly understand something that had eluded you. Throughout my career as an engineer, project engineer, and project manager, I have enjoyed mentoring members of my staff.
